Murdered: Toni Ann Ackerman
On August 18th, 1992, a call was made to the Guadalupe County Sherriff's Office. The call, received from passing motorists, was about a body on the side of the road, in the area of FM 775 and Partnership Road near Seguin, Texas. When the officers arrived, they discovered a 27 year-old woman named Toni Ann Ackerman. She had been shot multiple times, and dumped in a ditch along the road. While she was alive and conscious for several minutes after the officers arrived, she sadly succumbed to her injuries and passed away at the scene.
Toni Ann Ackerman was born October 14th, 1965. She was short and petite, about 4'11" tall and weighing about 105lbs. She had blue eyes, and brown hair, and was wearing a red skirt, a purple shirt, and black boots at the time of her death.
As of this post, it has been nearly 32 years since the murder, and not much else is known about the life or death of Ackerman. She was reported to be a long time resident of Seguin, Texas, where she also worked. The Sherriff's office has not released any information about suspects, or motives for her death.
“The Guadalupe County Sheriff’s Office is asking for help in finding the killer or killers who took the life of Toni Ann Ackerman,” a statement released by the Sherriff's department in 2019 reads. “We would like to bring closure to the family of Toni Ann Ackerman who has spent these last decades looking for an answer to the death of their loved one.”
The last known sighting of Ackerman, before she was spotted on the side of the road, was on Kingsbury Street in Seguin, next to the "R&R" grocery store.
